Reach Your Community with Sonic Happy Hour: An Outreach Opportunity
Consistently coming up with great ideas for reaching your community is difficult, whether you’re planting a church in a community or have been around for 100 years.
The other day, I ran across a tweet from my friend Brandon A. Cox. What I found was one of the coolest outreach opportunities I have seen in awhile:
Brandon, who is planting a church in Bentonville, Arkansas, picked up Sonic drinks for teachers at a local elementary school. Can you imagine how they felt to receive their favorite drink as a quick bit of encouragement during their most stressful time of year?
So the next time you’re looking for a creative outreach opportunity, remember … there are 398,929 drink combinations at Sonic, which means they probably have something that anyone in your community would enjoy.
What other creative outreach ideas have you seen implemented by your church or someone you know?
I love the Church. As the CEO of d2design, I work to equip the church on mission through innovative communication and church marketing strategies. I have spent over a decade working with pastors and church leadership, helping them discover the most effective ways to connect with their communities.
